A Little History of Freezing Fun For Families
Freezing Fun For Families is the Worlds Largest Snow Softball Tournament. Founded in 1999 by Cass Bresette Freezing Fun For Families raises money for Vermont families who have a child battling a life threatening illness. In 1999 Freezing Fun For Families held it's first snow softball tournament. Eight teams got together for the one day event and raised $800.00. Over the next eleven years Freezing Fun For Families has raised over $160,000.00, with 100% of all the proceeds going to these families. In 2008 Freezing Fun For Families had 57 teams participate and raised $50,000.00 for a comfort room at Central Vermont Hospital. Only to be topped in 2009 when the tournament brought 61 teams, 795 players and set a Guinness World Record for "The World's Largest Snow Softball Tournament".
